Ears to the Ground…

Summer Sauna: July 20th

Summer Sauna will be the Garden Party Edition inspired by visiting artist, Alyssa Dillard's performance “Marie Antoinette Walks Down and Elegant Hallway Knowing Everyone Hates Her,” (full project coming in November).

Crashbox will turn into an aristocratic garden party with a special twist as we invite local artists to perform in the theme of an event for the rich elite taken over by the masses who have grown weary of being unheard.

The evening before we will have a workshop on reframing narratives and taking history and our stories into our own hands using devising techniques from Alyssa’s practice and theatre company in Prague Czech Republic.

ALyssa Dillard In November

In November, we’ll share Alyssa’s Reclaiming Aristocracy//The Garden Party. This durational performance constructs and deconstructs Marie Antoinette as a symbol and character and is a vibrant exploration of identity, social expectations, and evolving personhood.
